I'm going to confess, I'm terrible to read body language — especially facial expressions. Well, I love infographics like this one because it's an easier way to research the large or tiny signals that people's bodies offer away to a person's feelings ... without having to look at actual people like a complete weirdo.
There is established clinical and medical proof that such signals are more or less reliable when it comes to interpreting people's emotions. Of eg, whether you're dishonest, not involved, or attempting to stop a discussion, you may not be informed right away.
However, their body posture will show signals of averting by attempting to enforce a physical obstacle (the arms crossed is the easiest thing to notice). On the other hand, a person interested in a conversation would show signs of "openness" or "welcoming" behavior – no crossed arms or legs, legs pointing forward, and/or a person leaning toward the other person.
