The Great Depression (1929-1939) used to be the worst financial downturn in present-day history. The previous decade, acknowledged as the “Roaring Twenties,” used to be a time of relative affluence for many middles- and working-class families. As the economic system boomed, new improvements allowed for greater enjoyment time and the introduction of a purchaser society.
